Inspirational Pictures... From Another Angle

Too lazy to write... didn't watch any new movies recently anyway... New Moon, Mulan, Astro Boy... all crappy movies :P. And I'm playing this new game, Dragon Age: Origins that need me to play at least 6 times before seeing all available content in the game... and every playthrough is like around 50+ hours... this is one of the best pc game investment I have ever made... now in second playthrough...

Found these pictures in my junk mail folder... just wanna share...

It's choice not chance that determines your destiny... it's true... so we should not give any chance to anyone at all!

Nothing happens... but first a dream... if everything that I dream of has a possibility of coming true, I shudder at that thought... basically, I dreamt myself ruler of the world and everyone else is my super loyal slave :P

Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things... sure, handphones 10 years ago were really monstrously big!

Throw your heart  over the fence and the rest will follow... I can't help but laugh when looking at this picture... it's so true... when you jump over the fence into the cliff, surely the rest of your body will follow :P

Burn brightly without burning out... impossible... if the sun can burn itself out, who are we to compare ourselves to the great and mighty Sun?

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes it is a quiet voice at the end of the day, saying... "I will try again tomorrow."... well, I don't know about you, but hearing a quiet voice in my head is pretty scary... and definitely will not make me courageous.

It is one of the most beautiful compensations in life... that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself... this is what I have been preaching all along... everyone who help another is a selfish person... so, not helping anyone is my motto!

Keep your face to the sunshine and you will not see the shadows... sure, if everyone has really dark, burned faces (due to sunburn), you won't be able to differentiate shadows and faces :P... tell that to the girls who hide behind umbrellas!

The best sermons are lived, not preached... true, but humans are such generous animals... they have to share what they know and if others don't follow what they believe is right, then the others are wrong.

The heart that gives, gathers... erm... I think it should be the one who gets a heart, gathers :P

Find your joy, and... share it with others... duh, if I can find joy without sharing with others, why would I need to share with others?]

Even if you are on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there... ah, this is what my mum told me when I was little... we must continue to improve ourselves or we will be left behind... but then again, even if you are on the right track, and running, you still will get run over by those who step over you to win the race!

Laughter is an instant vacation... which is why I rarely take vacation... people spend thousands going to foreign soil while I just need a dvd to laugh myself into vacation!

If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything... including falling in love? :P

The only things that stand between a person and what they want in life are the will to try it, and the faith to believe it's possible... I'm pretty sure that other than will and faith, other things that stand in between includes, time, death, luck, destiny, God, etc.

Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but the echoes are truly endless... I'm unsure it that meant the effect resulting from kind words are endless or people talking about it would be endless... either way, it's bad... it's bad for someone to want others to talk about the good deed they have done and it's bad that your actions (kind or otherwise) have infinite consequences since sooner all later, everything good will turn bad and vice versa...

To love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides... again... nobody ever heard of sunburn? I'm wilting like crazy under one sun... but two? No wonder I avoid this like a plague...

Change your thoughts and change your world... okay... I am the Master of the world and everyone will be my slave... waiting... waiting... waiting...

Sometimes in the winds of change we find our true direction... it's possible... but more than often, we will get lost forever!

I know, I know, I'm so sarcastic but all I said were true too :P

Game by Olay

Well, my friend the Witch challenged me to an online game... challenged me... ME!!! Of course, being a really competitive person, I responded immediately. There were some minor problems with registration, but after registering twice, I managed to get in.

It is actually a flash game by Olay... for marketing purposes, of course. Also, Nuffnang held a competition where there're prizes. I for one, is too lazy to tag five different people and challenge them to the game... actually, come to think of it, I don't think I have 5 friends who write blogs. Besides, I never win any competition anyway and the deadline is so near (by 31st August 2009)... so I'm not taking part of the competition. I'm not sure what's the criteria to win the prize but my marks are definitely not high enough to be winning material. And my writing style is not interesting enough to win too... so why bother? :P I'm actually being very accomodating by registering before playing the games... I hate registration process, not to mention that my mailbox is gonna to be bomb by junk mails in the future!

I'm posting the online scores just to show the Witch that I have higher scores than hers:P. Of course, she should have got higher scores than this by the time I posted this but I'm comparing my scores with her scores that she posted in her blog.

Anyway, if you're interested in this competition, visit her blog and follow the instructions there.

Okay, I'm pretty sure that the Witch cheated in the final game one. There's no way one can get that high marks... okay fine, I'm terrible at searching stuff... I'm wearing specs with 1000+ power okay... still, I won 5 out of 6 games! Hurrah!

Sea, Forest and Food

You know, this might be the post with most pictures up to date. I could have posted it in different posts... but too lazy to do that :P.

Anyway, there's this one Saturday where Witch and I, together with her colleague went out to have a one day trip on the outside. The main objective was to show Witch's colleague, who is from Germany around. His name is Marcin, by the way.

We started off at 11am... a little bit late for my taste... but it was a stroke of fortune that Witch decided to start off that late because apparently Marcin just got off a 3 hour phone call at 6am!!!

Anyway, we decided to have brunch at this dim sum restaurant called "Chong Wah's Kitchen" (translated version... dunno what's the official name :P). We selected our orders and the we were served this "appetizer" that we did not order... sort of like peanuts served at restaurants during dinner.

The "appetizer"... raw beans mixed with chilli

Since dim sum is famous for its "expensive but not filling" food, Witch ordered fried radish... which was quite nice... and the radish is cut into perfect cubes... unlike the ones that you buy from the night market which is of unrecognizable shapes.

Being in a dim sum restaurant, one of course must try the shrimp dumpling... and the shrimp was fresh and sweet

This is ordered by Marcin... which is a fried spring roll with mango and cheese... who doesn't like cheese?

Some prawn stuffed fried spring roll

I must say that this is one of the best dish that morning... the egg tart was just fabulous... albeit a little bit small... but it was hot, sweet and crunchy at the same time... must try

Shanghai Dumpling... not very good... doesn't have soup in it

Of course, one must have the BBQ pork bun too...

Which is nice too... except for the part where the filling is not as much as it could have been...

This one ordered by Marcin too... had no idea what to call them... I know it's available in Melaka too... maybe it's a Hokkien thingy?

This is what the inside looked like... doesn't look appetizing, but it actually tasted quite nice...

"Siew Mai" pork dumpling with prawn on top!

After filling our tummies, it's time for some activities! Our first stop is at the beach! It was quite deserted... which is strange since it's a weekend... but that means you can play all the water sports that you want without worrying about the swimmers!

Parasailing... not for me... afraid of heights

Apparently, you can have the guide to parasail with you!

First time I see a horsey in a beach...
A lot of horsies...

But Marcin was not interested in all those... he more interested in Jet Skis!

And he's attempting to coerce Witch to join him...

Which he succeeded...

The Witch putting on a brave face :P

The guide explaining on how to use the jet ski... actually, it's not that difficult being you have to twist the handle to speed and untwist it to stop... the only difficulty is that there is no brake whatsoever... which might be a little bit dangerous in a crowded beach...

And they are ready to go...
Speeding off into the unknown...

A superbly clear picture captured by my super camera when they are speeding out in the sea... picture taken at 10X zoom...

I just sat there reading a nice novel since I did not bring any change of clothes... and after that I had foot reflexology! No pain... except for the part when he rub at the side of my feet... and when I was at home, I looked closely and saw that he was rubbing across my big green vein!

Anyway, after all these, Marcin suggested that we play beach ball... the only problem being that we did not have any beach ball with us. So we ended up buying a small ball and just play by the side of the beach... and we were really terrible at it... I ended up picking up the ball more than actually playing it.

After the tiring sport, we decided to sit down and have a refreshing drink... Witch and Marcin had a coconut...

While I had orange juice...

It was deserted....

We sat next to this pond which would have looked nice if it does not have a big motor in it...

Next, we went to a place of tranquil... green grass, trees and chirping birds everywhere...
Except for the moment when this monkey tried to attack the Witch... :p
We went to another park and there is this guideline to what your heart beat rate should be when exercising...

Marcin trying out one of the various equipments available on the park... this one need you to swing your body side to side... very good to destroy the love handles...

Various amount of exercising equipments

After a tiring walk in the park, we had dinner at a Taiwanese shop... and I ordered Spicy Noodles... well, the Spicy Noodles are not spicy enough for my taste... but the side dishes are quite nice especially the light chocolate flavoured pudding...

We ordered fried dumplings as a side dish... Sakae's Gyoza is better

Witch ordered braised pork set...

Marcin ordered grilled fish... dunno what fish :P

But the main reason we came to this Taiwanese shop was for the bubble tea or pearl milk tea! Marcin think that it's fabulous... I can understand the feeling. Back in the early days when this is introduced in Malaysia, it was like the latest craze... everyone wants it and every shop would be selling it... it had been years since my last pearl milk drink... i prefer the sago drink that is sold at RM0.50 at stalls :P

After the dinner, we went to have a walk at the night market... and it was a bad move... walking the night market reminded me of the various sinful food that I have not eaten for the past few months... fried bananas, keropok ikan, apam balik, cendol, etc... I think I might be visiting this night market very frequently in the future...

I was tired, but amazingly, I still have some endurance left to play pc games until 1am when I reached home! :P
